 Micro Weddings …

is a term coined in the year 2020 when quarantine rules and wedding plans collided leaving many couples with the difficult task of reworking their dream wedding day.

I had the pleasure of supporting over 2 dozen couples realign to their core values and recreate their perfect wedding experience despite constantly changing variables. Safety was always the first priority, followed by a commitment to making their wedding day meaningful in every way they had hoped. Success came in different configurations. Some chose to get married on the day planned with just a few guests, others delayed their wedding day until more guests could attend and still others chose to have 2 ceremonies and either 1 or 2 receptions in various forms. We created new kinds of unique very personalized ceremony templates that fit perfectly in a smaller group setting with those closest to the wedding couple. Backyard weddings are now en vogue, simplicity rules, and dare I say intimacy has been elevated and deepened to new levels. With fewer variables, less cost, and less people there is a treasure trove of new creative ways to experience this milestone to make it more memorable than ever. An unexpected gift for me was hosting ten of those couples in my own backyard as the perfect outdoor space for a wedding with 2 dozen or fewer guests.

I am thrilled to say that this new trend continues to unfold giving couples even more options to choose from when orchestrating their wedding day. My backyard is available, a small garden setting perfect for a group of 12 or less. My ceremonies are more creative than ever as couples are more prone to think out of the box. The turnaround time to quickly create something meaningful has been perfected. And we’ve all learned to adapt to uncertainty in ways that enable us to distill the heart of what really matters in any relationship, ceremony, and celebration.

Please let me know if this is your direction and I’m happy to brainstorm with you and help you formalize your plans, write your ceremony and officiate your wedding day.
